CCR is a proud supporter of Richard's heart & sole run for Emilio
Click on the photo for more information on ENF co-founder Richard Nares's incredible 1700 mile run from Seattle to San Diego in support of the Emilio Nares foundation. He will stop at 9 children's hospitals along his route. Each pediatric children's hospital will be receiving Emilio's Loving Tabs shirts as a special gift. Emilio's Loving Tabs are shirts with snaps on the shoulder and sleeve to facilitate access to chemotherapy for children with cancer. The breathable shirts provide a sense of normalcy so children don’t have to take off or lift a shirt to receive treatment. A game changer for kids, parents, and hospital staff!
Check back for events and activities in support of Richard!
BIG NEWS! CCR is excited to announce that The Emilio Nares Foundation is an official 2018 Thinksocial Partner with Thinkbaby.Thinksport
When you shop online at shop.gothinkbaby.com, be sure to select the Emilio Nares Foundation from the dropdown menu at checkout and a portion of your sale will go help children battling cancer in San Diego.
CCR is pleased to introduce our newest Cheetah - Patient Ambassador Bianca Rollbusch! Diagnosed with Acute Lymphblastic Leukemia (ALL) in April of 2008, Bianca underwent two years of chemotherapy treatments. Through it all, doctors were impressed by her endurance and courage.
With her long days of treatment behind her, Bianca has become an avid runner, joining her school's cross country team and going on early morning runs with her dad. She already has an impressive and growing collection of 5K medals.
We are pleased that Bianca and her dad will be joining us for our fall season and training for her first half marathon. Bianca had a fantastic run at the Rock n Roll San Diego Half Marathon. She will completed the second leg of the Half Marathon Relay and the Cheetahs were honored to cross the finished with her.
Welcome to the Cheetahs Bianca!
Congratulations Cheetahs! Voted "Best Charity Running Group" and Emilio Nares Foundation voted "Best Charity to Fundraise For" in the Pacific West Region!
